Fresh. Halal. Homemade. Since Day One.
Welcome to Charishta Café — your home for the best breakfast in Farnham Common, authentic Desi lunch in Slough, and the warmest cup of Karak Chai this side of Berkshire. Nestled in the heart of Farnham Common, Slough, we’ve become more than a café — we’re a community hub built on flavour, faith, and family.
From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice something different: the smell of fresh parathas on the griddle, the gentle clink of chai cups, and the smile that says, “You belong here.” That’s the Charishta promise.
Our Founder: Faree
“Until I discovered cooking, I was never really interested in anything.”
These aren’t just words — they’re the heart of Charishta. Our founder, Faree, launched this café not to chase trends, but to share a lifetime of kitchen-born love. Born into a family where food = care, she believed Slough deserved a place that honored both British comfort and South Asian soul — all while staying true to halal values.
Today, Faree still greets regulars by name, tests new recipes weekly, and ensures every dish leaves her kitchen the way she’d serve it to her own family.
Our Core Values
100% Halal
All meat is certified halal. We maintain strict kitchen protocols to honor your faith and dietary needs.
Fresh Daily
No pre-made sauces. No frozen shortcuts. Just fresh eggs, handmade parathas, and curries slow-cooked that morning.
Community First
We don’t just serve food — we build relationships. From school parents to M4 commuters, everyone is family here.
Whether you’re stopping by for a halal breakfast near me, a quick lunch break, or an afternoon pick-me-up with our famous Tandoori Karak Chai, you’ll experience food made with intention — and a space designed for belonging.
🕒 Open Daily: 8:30am – 4:00pm (7 days a week, including Sundays!)
🅿️ Parking: Free street parking available nearby
We’re proud to be called “the best halal café in Slough” — not because of awards, but because of you. Our customers. Our neighbours. Our community.
